The ATTC aims at creating a training and learning environment to develop the technical, artistic, and managerial capacities of young people active in the field of performing arts in the Arab world.

On the 11th of March 2011, the ATTC held a 3 days workshop in Masrah El-Madina: "VOICE, SOUND & IMAGINATION as tools for the actor" created & directed by Nagy Souraty.

The aim of this workshop was to initiate the prospective young actors who attended this workshop in use of combining the voice accompanied by various sounds that they could produce as a theatrical tool on stage with the use of their imaginations.

Nagy Souraty worked with the participants on various exercises that helped acquaint the actors with their voices and their bodies, by taking part in interesting and engaging stage activities.

The workshop entailed many exercises that  focused on each of these elements including many group activities delving into instruments, improvisation based on visuals and sounds, creativity and even puppetry.

With the help of their imaginations and inspired by other elements they had learned the actors lived many moments on stage that challenged each one to laugh, cry and learn.

The actors had to put themselves on stage and show to everyone around them their true colors. The three day workshop eventually ended with a performance by each group encasing all that had been learned and experienced over the course of the workshop, at the end each one growing and awaiting the next.
