Workshop organized by LoYAC-LAPA (Kuwait) in collaboration with ATTC & AFPA, directed by Nagy Souraty - July 2011


LoYAC - LAPA (Lothan Youth Achievement Center - Academy of Performing Arts) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2002. It works towards the overall development of the youth (ages ranging from 6-28 years).
LoYAC strives to provide the youth with unique opportunities to help them evolve into highly effective young leaders. They have numerous goals including spreading a general awareness message of peace and to help youth find a sense of purpose.

The Didaskalos will be directing 2 theatre workshops focusing on Acting & the use of the body by the Actor from the 24th of July 2011 until the 30th of July 2011.
The workshops are organized by the LoYAC Academy of Performing Arts
in collaboration with the Arab Theatre Training Center (ATTC) 
The ATTC (Arab Theatre Training Center) aims at creating a training and learning environment to develop the technical, artistic, and managerial capacities of young people active in the field of performing arts in the Arab world.

The ATTC as a project evolved out of the Arab Arts Project. It was officially founded during the VIth Amman International Theatre Festival in 1999 where several training workshops were organized at the hands of expert professionals. 

The center organized more than 50 workshops in addition to several joint projects with partner organizations in six Arab countries, namely: Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Bahrain, Tunisia, and Morocco.

& AGONISTIK for performing arts (AFPA) 
AGONISTIK for performing arts is non-profit organization, founded by a group of students and graduates who have studied and worked under the direction of Nagy Souraty. AFPA aims to promote theater and arts in general in Lebanon and the arab world, as well as to disseminate the principles of human rights.
AFPA aims to promote the "Theater of the Edge" established by Nagy Souraty, an approach to theater which encourages the pursuit of excellence and strives for the betterment of one's self through the tackling of internal and external boundaries in one's personality while cultivating diversity and cultural tolerance using the power of live theater and workshops to expand the horizon of a more collaborative mindset.
